About Avalon - Newquay
Bed & Breakfast
Avalon is a privately-owned non-smoking guest house, situated in a leafy residential part of Newquay. We are only 250 metres from Tolcarne Beach and some half a mile from the town centre.
Our guest house is equipped for business travellers, family holidays, those looking for a romantic retreat and leisure guests visiting the area. We also happily accommodate surfing guests, especially for the yearly Boardmaster’s competition. Avalon Guest House is also perfect for small groups travelling together. Experience Cornish hospitality in your own affordable, stylish Cornish accommodation, home from home. We aim to offer the very best accommodation Cornwall could wish you to experience.
The perfect alternative to a traditional hotel stay. All of our six rooms have private bathrooms and toilets. All our
shower heads are fitted with eco friendly technology which filter and purify the water making it soft, which improves the skin and hair condition. Each room has a digital flat screen TV, fridge / freezer and tea / coffee making facilities. Hair dryers and towels are provided. Ironing facilities are available upon request.
We are some 300 metres from Newquay railway station for those visitors coming by train, and most bus services are close by. Newquay airport is only six miles away and a taxi service can be organised if needed.
The town centre has a variety of shops, and all kinds of eateries can be found to suit everybody’s taste. Newquay also has a thriving night life with lots of bars, pubs and clubs.
The North Cornish Coast is world famous for its wild and spectacular angry seas and storms. The winds can hit 100km/h or more and about 10 metres wave height in the Autumn/Winter. However, it is a haven for all-season surfers.
Avalon Guest House sits close to Tolcarne and Great Western, which are two of Newquay’s eight sandy beaches. The famous Fistral surfing beach and picturesque harbour are only minutes away.
The new proprietors are Helen and Paul Swansbury, who extend a warm welcome to all their guests.
