7. Newquay Zoo

Newquay Zoo is situated at the end of a long, tree-lined drive on the outskirts of Newquay on the North coast of Cornwall in the United Kingdom. Newquay Zoo has been awarded ‘Zoo of the Year 2012’ by The Royal Zoological Society of Cornwall. This award was made on the basis of the standard of animal care provided at the zoo and for the way, it encourages the public to get involved in the day-to-day running of the zoo.

Consequently, the garden is very colourful. There are also a number of other features which make this Japanese garden unique.

In the pond are various floating plants such as water lilies, duckweed, and lotus leaves. There are no weeds in the pond because the owner removes them. There are lots of butterflies and dragonflies as well. The garden is very serene and tranquil.
